Domestic jobs and foreign wages
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the relationship of the labor demand decisions of multinational firms with domestic jobs and foreign labor costs. Labor demand equations for a sample of Swedish multinational companies were utilized to carry out the analysis. Results indicated that the importance of multinational corporations to countries correlate with increases in the responsiveness of domestic output and employment to foreign labor costs.

Adverse selection in labor markets and international trade
Article Abstract:
The relation between international trade and adverse selection in labor markets is analyzed. Free trade with adverse selection between two countries results in losses for the country with less workforce average productivity. The trade equilibrium of a fully integrated world economy is Pareto inferior to equilibrium without international factor mobility. Trade equilibrium can also be improved by subsidies for imported goods manufacturing.
