'Verstehen', ideal types, and situational analysis and the problem of free will
Article Abstract:
Situational analysis involves an examination of rational action and the ability to make predictions. There is a complex relationship between institutions, subjective action, and the ability to make predictions. The notion of free-will makes us examine the idea of rationality in the absence of coercion. Free-will is not a clear-cut term, and its usage may be distracting. Notions of free-will are most useful in a perspective that includes rationality and cognition in its explanations.

The problem with interim employment
Article Abstract:
Unemployed skilled workers may prefer to wait until they can find work that uses their skills, instead of taking on temporary work that does not use their skills. Highly skilled workers may be seen as more likely to leave by companies that hire them. Both workers and companies face costs when a worker changes to a new job. The cost of searching for a job affects the length of time that skilled workers will seek jobs, and a high job search cost will lead to higher unemployment.
