Article Abstract:
Richard Sennett is deeply critical of new Labour's constant public sector reforms and in his book The Culture of the New Capitalism pulls apart the world of work which he claims is based on a unrepresentative business model, that of dot-com entrepreneurs and internet start-ups. Sennett says Labour is trying to impose the superficial 'glamour' of the short-term, no-ties mentality of these firms wholesale on the public sector.
