Diggers accused of grave robbery
Article Abstract:
Archeological sites in Israel have traditionally been overseen by Jewish orthodox representatives to ensure that Jewish burial sites are not destroyed. On some occasions dummy digs have been set up by archeologists to divert attention from other sites, so that the digging can continue undisturbed. Orthodox political parties have attempted to change the law so that the site should be closed down once human remains are found, although the governments legal adviser now has ultimate responsibility for this decision.

Grave mistakes
Article Abstract:
The problem with British cemeteries is that untended graves are not recycled. Burial grounds are closed when they have reached capacity. Permanent graves only became commonplace in the 19th century. Seventy per cent of dead people are now cremated in Britain. Cremation is cheaper and more efficient than burial, according to local authorities.
