The economics of poverty reduction and the reasons why some countries' economies grow quickly while others stagnate remain unclear. To eliminate poverty, rich nations must give more economic aid to poor countries and not expect repayment. Economists should also continue to examine what causes poverty and what can be done to relieve it.
