It's the same drive, but just a different operating system
Article Abstract:
A professor in the School of Computing at Teesside University shadows Jeremy Bradley, a lecturer in the department of computing at Imperial College, and relates his experiences of education in a Russell Group university and how it relates to his own institution. It is argued that both institutions serve a valuable purpose, with the traditional universities turning out world-class scientists and the newer universities helping those from less privileged backgrounds to realise their potential.

'My strengths come from the same place as my weaknesses...'
Article Abstract:
A dyslexic freelance writer argues that universities in the United Kingdom should make a greater effort to understand, accommodate and value dyslexic graduate students. It is contended that while dyslexic graduates are trying their hardest to produce original, high-quality research, they are doing it in an academic context where their needs are largely invisible and that more needs to be done to create an environment where dyslexic graduates are properly understood and accommodated.

It's the same drive, but just a different operating system
Article Abstract:
A lecturer in the department of computing at Imperial College shadows Alan Clements, a professor in the School of Computing at Teesside University, and relates his impressions of the university and how it compares with his own institution. It is noted that Teesside may produce more students that have industrially relevant skillsets than Imperial, but that Imperial's best students would probably be more capable of pioneering in new technology industries.
