It is new but it's not Labour
Article Abstract:
The 100 years anniversary of the founding of the UK Labour party could have led to its dissolution, with party leaders admitting the historical past of the party was longer relevant. The leadership could have created a new constitution. But the party would not take the step of rejecting past links formally. Although during the 1990s the Labour Party strove to discard its historical strictures and it no longer saw its base in class politics. Changes were made to the ownership of power, as activists were no longer able to hold power and influence from the trade unions was minimised.

Article Abstract:
An analysis of the Conservative and Labour Parties in the United Kingdom and their willingness to delve into their own history, It is suggested that while the Conservative party is quite happy to look to its past to find a new leader, digging out Michael Howard to take the job, New Labour is totally unwilling to look at its own past as it would only serve to embarrass the current incarnation of the party.

An old leftie feels alrighty
Article Abstract:
Michael Foot is a United Kingdom Labor party politician who was once leader of the party. He is involved in the Tribune newspapers and is writing a work on Nye Bevan, a hero of his. Foot sees the 1997 election as to be welcomed due to an increase in the number of women members of parliament and the opportunities for tackling poverty. He sees unemployment as the main reason for poverty and argues that the government should be able to tackle poverty if the economy does not suffer a crisis.
