Article Abstract:
A survey of domestic violence in the United Kingdom found that a fifth of a sample of men from the general public admitted to using violence, and there was no noticeable link to social class. One woman in sixteen has had broken bones inflicted by a partner according to the North London Domestic Violence Survey, carried out from Middlesex University criminology centre by Jane Mooney. Of women who had suffered domestic violence in the year preceding the survey, 45% had not told anyone. The sample was comprised of 429 men and 571 women.

Article Abstract:
Issues relating to the historical and modern role of university chancellor are examined in the light of the upcoming election by Oxford University of a new chancellor.
