Lecturers to act on campus racist lobby
Article Abstract:
Lecturers' union leaders in the UK have threatened legal action against university managers who fail to take action against racist activities following a growth in tension over campus-based campaigning by the British National Party. Natfhe, lecturers' union, stated that it was considering a test case under the 2000 Race Relations Amendment Act, which came into force in April 2001 and under which a legally enforceable obligation is imposed on public bodies to promote "equality of opportunity and good race relations".
