Article Abstract:
Media studies programs have often been criticised in the press in the United Kingdom, and there have been reports of higher unemployment levels for media studies graduates than for graduates as a whole. There appears to be a greater application of critical criteria to media studies course than to other higher education courses according to the British Film Institute.
