The Gospel according to science
Article Abstract:
The continuing advancement in science and technology has led to the need to review ethical boundaries. Society may have to face the problem of whether to allow women to have an abortion if genetic tests show their fetuses do not have specific qualities. The problem of why some people are evil has been studied by philosophers and theologians. Some scientist point to a gene whereby the ruthless survive to the next generation. Yet the explanation does not explain selflessness, particularly to strangers for no reward. Humans are the only animals who take part in torturing their own kind.
