Troubled campus slammed
Article Abstract:
The University of Durban-Westville, South Africa, has been called ungovernable by a previous vice chancellor, Jairam Redddy, who is to head a national commission on higher education in South Africa. Disciplinary proceedings are planned against six leaders from the Combined Staff Association who have been suspended, in addition to five students. A presidential commission has issued a report on the problems at the university which has been closed to students.

An analysis of the "Born Free" generation in South Africa. The "Born Free" generation is defined as that which either entered the world or spent its formative years in the years after 1990, when apartheid began to crumble. The "Born Free" generation are classed as confident, colour-blind, brand-obsessed consumers.
