London Metropolitan University has claimed that organisers of a vote of no confidence in Brian Roper, vice-chancellor, could face civil and criminal proceedings over how the ballot was conducted. Natfhe, lecturers' union, and Unison, support staff union, balloted staff over confidence in Professor Roper and Lynn Link, head of human resources, but results are being withheld amid concerns over access by the unions to staff details and over 'offensive' content in a letter attacking the managers.
