Yes, it's OK to clone
Article Abstract:
Bioethicist John Harris suggests it is unfair to legislate against human cloning when it denies infertile couples the chance to have their own children. He is concerned the UK government's policy on human cloning will be made as a result of public opinion fueled by media hype. He points out the ability to abuse a technique does not necessarily result in the abuse happening. Harris feels the genetic variation of the human race will not be in danger from cloning. Harris has worked in bioethics for 20 years. He is Professor of bioethics at the University of Manchester, England.

Escape from a baleful gaze
Article Abstract:
Robert Fine, a 51-year-old sociology lecturer at Warwick University, England, explains that he has discovered a kind of strength from realising that he has handled the almost unbearable situation of being stalked by a 50-year-old former student, Eileen McLardy, for more than three years. Fine initially tried to pretend that his problems were not happening, an attitude he now feels was misguided since he began to suffer palpitations and mysterious pains. Fine explains that writing a book about his ordeal was a way of trying to derive something positive from his experience.

A lifetime kicking against the pricks
Article Abstract:
Widely-respected academic Noam Chomsky is mostly known as a political activist and revolutionary linguistics scholar, although he has published hundreds of articles and around 75 books on various subjects from mathematics to philosophy. Some critics claim Chomsky focuses too heavily on abstract theory and he is chastised for failing to research how people with language problems can be helped. Chomsky believes criticism can generate interesting debate, but he also believes in the importance of rational argument.
