Autosound: More Growth, Diversification Bywords for Second-half Action
Article Abstract:
Suppliers of autosound equipment expect sales to grow between four and twenty percent in the second half of 1984. Manufacturers are diversifying lines and increasing advertising. One of the problems the industry has been facing is a lack of chip supply. Sparkomatic expects the shortage to decrease the company's production of low end ETRs. Average prices are expected to rise despite a boom in production resulting from the normalization of chip supply. Alpine and Mitsubishi will be offering mobile phones through their autosound network.
