Terminating employees
Article Abstract:
Broadcast stations planning to terminate employees should consider all aspects of employee performance and document all details carefully. Documentation of previous disciplinary actions is crucial. Disciplinary and performance terminations can lead to wrongful dismissal law suits, so stations should follow a set procedure for exit interviews, final paychecks, references, and so on. A list of factors to consider prior to dismissal is discussed.
