Camera manufacturers have introduced their latest lines of 35mm, Advanced Photo System (APS) and digital cameras. The products include Canon's Elph 2, Kodak's Advantix T550 witg a single focal length 28mm f/3.5 lens, Minolta's Vectis 2000 with pull-push power switching system and Olympus' Infinity Stylus Zoom 80 Wide DLX. Other lines are Samsung's Evoca 70S 35 mm compact camera, Nikon's Pronea S APS camera, Canon's PowerShot A50 digital camera and Fuji's Fujicolor Quicksnap Multi-view with switchable viewfinder offering three APS formats.

Sharp, Xerox lead SOHO to digital copiers

Digital copiers are being introduced in SOHO. According to Randy Thompson, senior product marketing manager for Sharp's SOHO products, digital technology has been widely accepted in SOHO. Sharp is introducing digital a laser copier line that includes four models which can be upgraded to a 600 dpi digital laser printer. Xerox also has its own digital copiers, featuring digital copying and printing. The line was launched in September 1998, with the XD100. The model XD120F is expected to roll out in December 1998.

CES for digital; PMA remembers film
Article Abstract:
The Photo Marketing Assn show in Feb 2000, to be held in the same Las Vegas Convention Center venue used for the International Consumer Electronics Show, will focus on film cameras. Among the cameras expected to be showcased during the event are high-speed film cameras from Kodak, the Elph Sport from Canon and the AF SLR line from Minolta. Other camera makers that will participate in the show include Olympus, Polaroid, Vivitar, Konica and Fujifilm.
