Digital technology drives IT, consumer electronics to merge
Article Abstract:
Anticipating the demand from consumers for an environment where computers can interconnect with electronics equipments, industry players are demanding for the establishment of interoperability specifications. Therefore the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology has been introduced. The promotion of UWB technology by the non-profit organization MultiBand Optical Frequency Division Multiplexing Alliance (MBOA), a conglomeration of several consumer electronics companies is discussed.
