Five technologies compete in emerging markets for FPD TVs
Article Abstract:
An analysis on each of the five technologies, which are currently competing in the marker for flat-panel display devices, is presented. These five are, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), plasma display panels (PDPs), micro-display rear projection devices, surface conduction electron-emitter displays (SEDs) and other field emission displays (FEDs), and electroluminescent (EL) displays, also referred to as organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays.
