LCD TVs star at Taiwanese manufacturers' CES exhibit

The demand and growth observed in sale of liquid crystal display (LCDs)television sets, and according to the Consumer Electronics Association 2005 sales report, are discussed. The current shift in the television sector has been to terrestrial digital broadcasting. Taiwanese manufacturers have introduced many television products in the United States, thereby trying to grab a lion's share in this segment.

Toshiba Pushes PDP Business With 42-, 50-Inch Units, Improved Technology: Flat and Thin: Trends in TV and Monitor Screens

Toshiba Corp. expects worldwide sales for 2002 of its plasma display panel TVs to be around 20,000. To meet this goal, the company debuted in March a 50 inch PDP TV. In August, the company debuted a 42 inch model. In 2002, the company expects to debut slightly smaller models.
