MZ-E7W MD Walkman sets

Sony Corp has unveiled a digital audio disc player unit that uses a completely separate wireless remote controller. The MZ-E7W MD Walkman features a watch-shaped remote control device that permits an operator to cue or record music aside from doing conventional watch functions such as time, alarm, stop-watch and calendar keeping. Sony's MZ-E7W MD Walkman, which has passed the Japan Industrial Standards for water-proofing, retails for 42,000 yen.

Computer-usable MDs win converts for ease of music editing
Article Abstract:
Sony Corp has launched three new models of its popular MDS-PC1 console player that can link to personal computers. MDS-PC1 features a Control A1 terminal and comes with a CD-ROM of the MS Editor operation software package and a cable to connect the MD players to a personal computer. The new MD consoles are the MDS-JA22ES, the MDS-JE920 and the MDS-S39. Sony also introduced the PCLK-MD1 separate kit for connecting consoles to PCs.

Sony salutes 20 years of Walkman with Memory Stick Walkman
Article Abstract:
Sony Corp's launching of its Memory Stick Walkman is line with the company's celebration of the 20th anniversary of its Walkman headphone stereos. Aside from Memory Stick Walkman, which employs a solid state semiconductor as a recording memory, the company also introduced its MD Discam camcorder during the Berlin Show held at the end of Aug 1999. Since 1979, Sony Corp has sold 186 million cassette Walkman units.
