Patent study reveals central role of electrotechnologies
Article Abstract:
A study of 1995 patents revealed that while the percentage of electrotechnology has increased in all manufacturing sectors, the number of electrotechnology patents for the food sector has almost doubled from 18% to 34%. This proves the increasing importance of electrotechnologies.

Vance IDS Inc. has improved the plasma arc technology for the conversion of dangerous and messy medical wastes into harmless and marketable materials. An argon plasma unit heats up the wastes to more than 15,000 degrees F to break them into their elemental components.
