SU-DA10 A/V control amplifiers
Article Abstract:
Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Ltd has unveiled the SU-DA10 audio- video control amplifier that features an MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding Decoder. The SU-DA10 supports digital broadcast satellite transmissions and allows for the reproduction of 5.1-channel sound. It comes with a low- noise variable gain control amplifier for providing the necessary gain. There is also a volume controller behind the amplifier for controling sound volume. The SU-DA10 has an effective maximum output of 75W for each of the 5 channels and 100W + 100W for stereo sound.

GaAs power amplifiers
Article Abstract:
Matsushita Electronics has introduced new gallium-arsenide (GaAs) power amplifiers for use in mobile phone systems. The GaAs amplifiers have copper substrates with twice the standard area and come in ceramic-metal alloy casings hermetically sealed with inert gas. They are available in several models including a 20W model with a two-row serial configuration and a two-chip serial configuration in the final stage. They also come with a field-effect transistor that can accomodate the 1.9 to 2.2 GHz range.
