Sharp crafts camcorders to cash in on digital demand
Article Abstract:
Sharp Corp of Japan has launched its latest lines of camcorders for 1999. The lineup includes four Hi8 models, three standard 8mm models and DVC models. Among these are Hi8 models with 22X optical zoom, and 3- to 4-in LC screens, the D5 View Cam carmcoder with a flip-out LCD viewfinder, the VL-SD20U/S/H LCD digital ViewCam and the VS-SD20 series with a 1/3-inch 700,000-pixel CCD which features a new artificially intelligent Digital Gamma Correction Circuit and a touch system.
