Consumer audio equipment makers have introduced their lines of AM/FM radios and players with innovative features. Tiger Electronics is offering its Sound Bites Pop Radio which allows users to lister to FM radio inside their heads while munching on a lollipop. Sphere Multimedia Technologies has launched its Kiddie Car Tunes which allows parents to palce two mini- speakers beneath the padding of a child car's seat. Other innovative products are ATC;s Bicycle Radio AR2515, Sentry Industries' TR833 AM/FM radio with pager design and Remington's Emergency Light with radio.

'My' TV the buzz at CES

Philips Gloeilampenfabricken NV's 'Personal TV' allows consumers to create their own TV programming based on their likes and dislikes. The interactive TV made a major debut during the 1999 International Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, NV. The product, made in partnership with DIRECTV and TiVo, is due to shipped in late 1999. Meanwhile, EchoStar Communications Corp teamed up with WebTV to release the EchoStar Model 7100 Personal TV satellite receiver.
