To renew aftermarket vitality, Pioneer focuses on A/V systems for vehicles
Article Abstract:
Pioneer Electronic Corp has remodeled its entire roster of car audio-video (A/V) equipment, as it seeks to secure additional market share and take advantage of growth and transition in the automobile aftermarket. Aside from incorporating improved functions to its traditional models, Pioneer is now offering deluxe models, and has augmented its offerings with multimedia A/V systems. Notable products include the MEH-P70 MD tuner AMP with multi-CD control; the Premier range of subwoofers; six- to 12-dic CD changers such as the CDX-FM1237S; mid-range CD players such a the DEH-460; and the AVM-P505R in-car A/V system.

Sony technologies yield pocket-sized camera for still, moving images
Article Abstract:
Japanese manufacturer Sony Corp's new Ruvi CCd-CR1 camcorder has demonstrated some of the possibilities available for future audio-video equipment. The Ruvi CCD-CR1 camcorder features a pocket-sized design for superior portability and uses an innovative video cartridge to record up to 30 minutes of moving images in fine picture quality, with sound. Its chief innovation, however, is the ability to record still images comparable in quality to those taken by digital still cameras.
