A quality twist on torque testing
Article Abstract:
The clamping load required for maintaining joint integrity is the most critical factor in the selection of nuts and bolts. In determining clamping force, the torque should be carefully monitored to see if any of the factors affecting the fastened joint are not within the specified standard. There are two basic torque monitoring techniques: dynamic and static torque auditing. A brief overview of these two methods is presented.
