The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration's hazard communication standard is intended to promote safety in the workplace by providing workers with information about physical and health hazards posed by chemicals handling. The details of the guidelines and methods to determine flammability and reactivity data for inclusion on material safety data sheets are presented.
