Aggregate dynamics of (S,s) inventory management
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze criteria for dynamic synchronization of the movement of agents who make intermittent adjustment in inventory stocks that lead to a harmonic resonance rather than cancellation. In line with this, a discrete Markov process model of (S,s) inventory adjustment was utilized to determine a theoretical model for aggregate dynamics. In addition, events leading to increased skewness of the distribution of agents over the inventory internal were analyzed.

Positioning inventory in distribution systems
Article Abstract:
An investigation into the best method of positioning existing inventories results in the recommendation that the degree of customer demand should dictate the appropriate strategy. Therefore, if the inventory is mainly used to satisfy consistent customer demand, then such inventories should be placed in a retail outlet. Otherwise, the inventory stocks could be kept in a warehouse near a manufacturing plant.
