Aluminium takes shape with a pulse
Article Abstract:
The development of an efficient and effective new aluminium shaping technique could have major repercussions on how panels will be pre-formed in industries, such as aircraft building and car manufacturer. Pulses of electromagnetic energy is passed through the aluminium sheet before the resulting in a sharper, more defined shaping of the aluminium, without the risk of tearing or wrinkling often associated with shaping aluminium.
