An empirical model of the organization knowledge system in new product development firms
Article Abstract:
A sample of 1200 engineers from 10 technology firms is used here to formulate a structural model of a knowledge system designed to be applied to new product development. The aim here is to define various organizational aspects that contribute to a company's create intellectual capital.

The work patterns of a multi-organizational, virtual, multi-team is reported on here. The teams successfully co-developed a complex aerospace product across, despite having limited experience working together and being significantly distanced geographically.
