Bolts flips indicator when tension is lost
Article Abstract:
A new tension-indicating bolt flips a yellow bar on its head to give a clear visual indication of loss of tension that could be seen up to 25 meters away. The RotaBolt 'Vision' uses the same concept, of sensing pin in a hole drilled in a bolt, to detect tension, but with the addition of a sprung cap with a prominent yellow bar that flicks round through 90 degrees under spring force if tension falls below a pre-set value.

Dry fluid connectors offer free passage
Article Abstract:
A dry, fast linking fluid connector that exhibits one-eighth the pressure drop of other models is developed for the hot swapping of water cooling connections in rack-mounted computer serves. The connector aids in hot interchange of mounted computers and is also useful in pneumatic and hydraulic fluid power.
