Catastrophic climate change from outer space: a new theory says asteroids helped plunge Europe into its last big cold snap
Article Abstract:
Scientists believe that a comet or asteroid exploded over what is now Canada which destabilized glaciers causing fresh water to spill into the Atlantic triggering the Younger Dryas event. Sophisticated radiochemical techniques that the scientists used back their claims however some scientists remain skeptical of the theory without evidence of extraterrestrial impact.

Greenhouse gas trends: a tale of two perspectives
Article Abstract:
Greenhouse gas emissions statistics show that the U.S. outperformed the 15 countries that were members of the European Union when the Kyoto Protocol was adopted in 1997. The statistics also show that Europe slashed their emissions by 10.2 percent while U.S. emissions increased by 16.3 percent if considered in the context of the Kyoto compliance from 1990.

No payoff for Galileo Navigation System: Europe's answer to GPS isn't worth it
Article Abstract:
The European Union's Galileo satellite navigation system plans provide greater accuracy than GPS or Russia's GLONASS. The project is way behind schedule and lags behind GPS and GLONASS in terms of improvement so it could never have a competitive edge over the two systems.
