Article Abstract:
The conference hosted by training provider JTL focused on the obstacles related to attracting women and those from ethnic backgrounds in the electrical and plumbing sector. Age limit on funding for adult trainees prevent adults from entering the industry thereby posing a barrier to attracting a diverse workforce. Moreover, employers are still not expecting a workforce that is different from the existing one.
