Flying away: forecast bad for tiny airborne probes
Article Abstract:
Global Environmental MEMS Sensors (GEMS), dust particle-sized airborne probes with embedded microelectro-mechanical sensors would measure variables like temperature, pressure, humidity and wind velocity. It is able to revolutionize weather forecasting because its probes would produce data with unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution.
