Computers and privacy don't mix
Article Abstract:
Employers have the right to monitor the use of computers and e-mail in the workplace and employees should not expect privacy when using the office computer. Privacy law is still evolving. It was not recognized by courts until the 20th century. The Fourth Amendment pertains only to intrusion on the part of government. Most state laws do not address privacy.
