Labor Department study shows improving employee skills pays off
Article Abstract:
A study conducted by the United States Labor Department on management practices reveals trends amongst companies with increasing market share and investor returns. Corporate investments in an innovative workplace increases customer satisfaction, product quality, profitability and productivity, according to the study. Maximum benefit can be obtained by integrating business processes and improved technology. The report suggests that investing in employee development results in a large increase in market price and that companies quick to innovate and implement TQM procedures show higher share prices.
