Make sure your safety policy fits the bill
Article Abstract:
It is very easy for electrical contractors to let their health and safety policy become outdated and to fall behind legal requirements. It is essential thats safety policies are routinely re-examined and updated to take into account any changes in regulations. It is a legal requirement that safety policies contain three elements: the general statement of policy, organisational details concerning health and safety, and the arrangements describing how tasks should be carried out. Companies with fewer than five employees do not need a written safety policy statement.

Article Abstract:
Stress exists in the construction business as much as in other industries such as air traffic controllers, train drivers and signallers. Work-related stress is known to cause illness, and even though designers, managers and planners in the industry are known to suffer from it, stress related illnesses for construction workers are recorded as a minimum. Accidents are more likely to happen when an employee's concentration lapses. Stress management is essential for improvement.
