Motion analyzer eliminates die-sorting guesswork
Article Abstract:
Laurier Inc has bought an EktaPro Hi-Spec model 1012/2 motion-analysis system manufactured by Kodak Co to overcome the problem of doing guess work in the production line. Laurier produces automated die-sorting machines which pick and place minuscule parts at the very fast rate of 1/600 msec. To eliminate the guesswork, the EktaPro Hi-Spec model 1012/2, which has the ability to record events at 1,000 frames/sec, was purchased. Despite its high-tech features, using it was easy for Laurier which was taught by a Kodak representative.

Real-time reliability system eliminates delays
Article Abstract:
Context Integration developed the Reliability Assurance Information Network (RAIN) for National Semiconductor Corp. to provide real-time data for enhanced production. Context worked with National employees directly to create the system, and therefore were familiar with it before deployment. RAIN reduced query time from 40 minutes to 15 seconds and improved ease of use.
