Comparative analysis of ordering models for an international co-operative global complementary production system

Article Abstract:

An international co-operative global complementary production system (ICGCPS) is characterized by several production bases located in several countries. Prevalent in the automobile industry, ICGCPS requires each production base to produce only specific components and parts for all the participating countries and supply these products to the other production bases. A production, inventory and transportation system ideal for ICGCPS is developed.

Comparing integration strategies in production ordering systems

Article Abstract:

Researchers have come up with many techniques for effective production management. These include various production ordering systems for multi-stage production inventory systems, which are classified into push-type systems and pull-type systems. Two strategies for the horizontal integration of pushy-type and pull-type production ordering systems are developed.
