Siemens refocusing R&D on products
Article Abstract:
Siemens AG has initiated a program aimed at developing products faster and more cost-efficiently, while maintaining a close link with customer needs and market trends. The program, called time-optimized processes, encourages Siemens researchers to adopt a more product-oriented approach to research and development and emphasizes collaboration and globalization. The initiative is a result of the growing competition in the electronics industry and the increasing value of the Deutsche mark against the US dollar.
