Adjusting irrigation abstraction to minimize the impact on stream flow in the East of Scotland
Article Abstract:
The potential impacts of irrigation activities on stream flows in certain parts of Scotland are reviewed in the study conducted in two catchments in East Lothian, the Tyne and the West Peffer. The findings of the hydrological study are stated to highlight some of the spatial and temporal issues that need to be considered in the selection of control mechanisms.

Mapping the financial benefits of sprinkler irrigation and potential financial impact of restrictions on abstraction: a case-study in Anglian Region
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to develop a Geographic Information System procedure to estimate and map the likely financial benefits connected with irrigation. This technique also identifies the potential financial repercussions of seasonal restrictions on abstraction of water for irrigation.

A two stage batch adsorber design for methylene blue removal to minimize contact time
Article Abstract:
Use of pseudo second order equation to study the adsorption kinetics of methylene blue onto bentonite is described. Development of two stage batch adsorber model for methylene blue removal to minimize contact time is emphasized.
