Fuel global fishing fleets
Article Abstract:
Fossil fuels have become the dominant energy input to most of the world's fisheries although various analyses quantified fuel inputs to individuals fisheries. Given the absolute and relative scales of fuel consumed by fishing fleets globally, it is essential to consider in future policy planning, both with regards to the fuel subsidies from which fishing fleets usually benefit and the needless climate impact of fossils fuels burned by overcapitalized fisheries

Financial comparisons of fishing gear used in Kenya's coral reef lagoons
Article Abstract:
Several studies of the fishing cost and income of the fishers are conducted to analyze the financial difference of the different fishing gears that are used in Kenya's coral reef lagoons. The cheaper fishing gears are found to be more dangerous to the environment, as compared to the high price gears.
