Growth rate plasticity to temperature in two damselfly species differing in latitude: Contributions of behavior and physiology
Article Abstract:
The temperature dependence of growth rate its underlying behavior and physiological in two congeneric damsefly species that differ in latitudinal distribution, behavior, as measured by food intake, physiology and heartbeat as proxy for metabolic rate, jointly contributed to the temperature-induced plasticity in growth rate. The results suggest that not only the latitudinal patterns in growth rate but also the mechanic basis are similar at the species and at the population level.

Pond drying and hatching date shape the tradeoff between age and size at emergence in a damselfly
Article Abstract:
The tradeoff between age and size at emergence, which plays a central role in life history, is hypothesized to be more pronounced under stressful conditions, especially when these conditions are combined. The absence of a tradeoff in more time-stressed late hatched larvae could be explained by their higher intrinsic growth rates, independent of deteriorating growth conditions.

Behavioral linkage of pelagic prey and littoral predators: microhabitat selection by Daphnia induced by damselfly larvae
Article Abstract:
A link between organisms belonging to a different compartment, namely the pelagic and the littoral is studied through behavior in a series of laboratory experiments. Further it is observed that horizontal migration of the pelagic prey driven by the littoral predator may couple both lake compartments and may interact with the predator-prey relationships within the pelagic.
