Habitat partitioning in facultatively paedomorphic populations of palmate newts Triturus helveticus
Article Abstract:
Habitat forms an essential part in the persistence of facultative paedomorphosis in natural populations of newts and salamanders. Laboratory experiments show that more larvae become paedomorphic in permanent water than in temporary water.

Evaluation of spontaneous species for the revegetation of resevoir margins
Article Abstract:
Several species of plants were tested to see which would grow faster in an environment near a reservoir where the soil is sometimes dry and sometimes under shallow water. The effect of seed treatment on plant growth was also tested.

Effect of a motorway on mortality and isolation of wildlife populations
Article Abstract:
A study of a highway in France, and its effect on the wildlife in the area, is presented. During a 33 week period, 2,266 animals, representing 97 species, were road-kill victims.
