Hazardous Waste Law weakened
Article Abstract:
The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee has voted on the reauthorization of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The new act is dismal in that it only focuses on 1% of national waste. The only positive outcome of the act is that an amendment prohibits trial burns in Ohio's East Liverpool's hazardous waste incinerator until issuesagainst it are resolved in court.
