Model for preliminary catchment-scale planning of urban stormwater quality controls
Article Abstract:
A model for urban stormwater quality controls was established and used for the city of Christchurch, New Zealand. The model incorporates spatial location of potential control parameters within the catchment area and objectives pertinent to stormwater quality, groundwater recharge and flood protection. Results of modelling revealed that the benefit of stormwater treatment ponds and infiltration were minimal relative to enhancing sediment quality.
