Ploidy level interacts with population size and habitat conditions to determine the degree of herbivory damage in plant populations
Article Abstract:
Various researches are conducted to study the effects of the interactions of the ploidy level of plants with their population size, isolation and habitat conditions on factors like insect, damage caused by the insects, as well as the plant performance. The results show that the ploidy level of the plants play an important role in determining the degree of herbivory damage in them, though they are normally driven by a complex of interactions among different factors.

Clone-specific response of Festuca rubra to natural variation in biomass and species composition of neighbours
Article Abstract:
Research on the grass Festuca rubra showed somewhat flat responses to significant variations in both biomass levels and species composition within a given habitat. Despite F. rubra's capability of remarkable plasticity, the flat response observed in the studies may be attributable to below-ground processes or overall density values.
