Questioning complacency: Climate change impacts, vulnerability, and adaptation in Norway
Article Abstract:
A study on influence of climate change, exposure and adjustments in Norway is conducted to identify the boarder social influences of changes in climate, which revealed that indirect and probable impacts were more important than direct, highly sensitive areas reflect various social liability and high adjusting capabilities hides the hurdles in adjustments. The question of gratification about the climate changes influence and adaptation in Norway and other European countries emphasizes on greater attention towards social influence.

Water-quality changes in Latvia and Riga, 1980-2000: possibilities and problems
Article Abstract:
Latvia's inland water quality has improved since 1991, when stronger environmental protections were implemented and nutrient loads from point and nonpoint pollution sources, such as the city of Riga on the Baltic Sea, were decreased. Higher standards for drinking water have presented new challenges for Latvian authorities.
