An overview is presented on the Second World Water Forum, held in March 2000, along with proposals resulting from issues discussed at the forum. Topics include the need for a variety of water resource management practices, adapted for the particular circumstances of different regions, as well as the need for intranational strategies to address trans-boundary water issues such as river basin jurisdiction.
